If you book The Cube as a pair, you will be playing alongside strangers. Games run in groups of four, split into two teams of two, and the operator says that a booking for two will be paired with another team on the day. Nobody mentions this until you read the FAQ, and it changes what the evening is: either book as four, or accept that half your group will be people you have never met.

Everything below comes from The Cube’s own pages, read on 10 October 2026.

Where it is, and when it opens

It is at 14 Charter Street in Canary Wharf, E14 5GZ, on the corner of Water Street and Charter Street, just past TRIBE Canary Wharf, in the Wood Wharf part of the estate. Canary Wharf station serves the Jubilee, Elizabeth and DLR lines and is step-free throughout.

It is closed on Mondays. Tuesday and Wednesday are 12.30pm to 10pm, Thursday and Friday 12.30pm to 10.30pm, Saturday 11am to 10.30pm and Sunday 11am to 7pm. Check-in is on level two, reached by a lift from the ground floor on Charter Street.

One warning if you go looking online: thecubelive.com is a parked domain with nothing on it. The real site is bookthecube.com, and the attraction is run by Urban Playground.

How the game works

There are 21 glass cubes across three floors. The FAQ describes seven games per session, scored on performance, with 10,000 points as the threshold for officially beating The Cube. There is no cash prize. A session runs about 90 minutes to two hours, longer on Saturdays when it is busy. Arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in and sort out teams.

The minimum age is 9, and all players under 16 must be supervised by an adult. There is no dress code, but flat shoes and comfortable clothes are recommended because some games need movement.

No refunds, and a seven day rescheduling window

The Cube operates a no refund policy. You can reschedule, but only with at least seven days’ notice, through your account or by phone. That is a longer notice period than most attractions, where 24 or 48 hours is normal, so a last-minute change of plan means losing the money.

The venue is cashless, taking Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa Electron and Vpay, with Apple Pay in person only. A Challenge 25 policy applies, so bring photo ID if you look under 25. Booking ahead is strongly recommended, with only limited walk-in tickets and no guarantee of those.

Watching is free

Spectators pay nothing, and there is seating, food and drink throughout, so you can come purely to watch or eat. There are six bars, burgers and sharing platters from The Butcher and 20 inch New York style pizza from Toni Loco. Vegetarian and vegan options exist at all venues and the menus carry allergen information. You can turn up just to eat or drink without playing at all.

Photos and video are encouraged, which is a contrast to most attractions of this kind. Only assistance dogs are allowed inside.

Access, and the sensory warning

The access statement, last updated on 2 April 2025, is upfront about what the venue throws at you: bright flashing lights, continuous flashing lighting, loud music, various audio streams and sporadic sound effects. The FAQ adds that sudden immersive sound effects run throughout and it can be loud.

Entry is step-free at street level, by ramp and accessible lift, with no doors or steps at the entrance. Two wheelchair accessible lifts serve floors 1 and 2, and stairs run alongside them. The nearest car park is Canada Square on Montgomery Street, which has Blue Badge bays and takes no cash, with Cabot Place, Jubilee Place and Westferry Circus as alternatives. The closest buses are the D3 and D8.

Discounts

A Blue Light Card discount of 10 per cent and a student discount of 20 per cent were being advertised when we looked, the latter marked as a limited time offer. No standard prices are published on the site: they appear when you pick a date, and group bookings for 16 or more are handled separately.
