We take no bookings, sell nothing, and accept no payment for inclusion. Where a price or a rule appears here, it came from the venue.
Pizza Pilgrims: £10 Margheritas, £7.50 for Students, and Where
Two cheap lunches run at once, and the £7.50 student price only exists at two London branches.
Southbank Centre: Eight Free Events and Five Venues
Free art in the Hayward Gallery, which normally sells tickets, plus a free poetry library most people never find.
Saatchi Gallery: Free Right Now, and the Closures to Check
Both current exhibitions are free until 11 October. But the whole building shuts for days between shows, and its own closures list is out of date.
National Portrait Gallery: Saturday Lates and the Times Others Hide
Open to 9pm on Friday and Saturday, one of only two free collections available on a Saturday evening in London.
National Gallery London: Free Entry, Friday Lates and Closed Rooms
Free and open to 9pm on Fridays. But building work has moved paintings, so check the floorplan before you come for one.
Tate Britain: The Closed Entrance, Free Turner and Four Daily Tours
The Millbank entrance is shut until 2027. It has a free cloakroom, four free tours a day, and the world's largest free Turner display.
Tate Modern: Free Entry, Late Opening and the Locker Charge
Free to enter, but the cloakroom has closed and bags now cost £4 to £8. Open until 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
London International Horse Show 2026: Which Day to Book
The Grand Prix is on Monday afternoon and there is no Monday evening. The Puissance, Six Bar and World Cup each happen once.
Annabel’s London: Opening Hours, and Where the Dress Code Actually Is
Open from 7.30am on weekdays. The dress code is an off-site PDF, which is why nobody can find it.
Shuffleboard London: £10 a Head, and What the Brunch Adds
The same shuffleboard is in the £10 game and the £38 brunch, so the brunch charges £28 for pizza and Prosecco.

Questions we get asked
How often is the guide updated?
Continuously, and each page records the month it was last checked rather than only the date it was first written. Opening hours and prices in London change often enough that an unchecked guide is worse than none.
How do you decide what goes in?
Every entry is verified against the venue's own published information, not against other guides. Nothing is included in exchange for payment, and nothing is excluded for refusing it.
