Annabel’s London: Opening Hours, and Where the Dress Code Actually Is

Open from 7.30am on weekdays. The dress code is an off-site PDF, which is why nobody can find it.

A dimly lit bar with tables, chairs and candlelight

Annabel’s opens at half past seven in the morning. The Mayfair club best known for its late nights serves from 7.30am on every weekday and runs to 3am on three of them.

Monday and Tuesday: 7.30am to 1am.

Wednesday to Friday: 7.30am to 3am.

Saturday: 11.30am to 3am.

Sunday: 11.30am to midnight.

That makes Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nineteen and a half hour days, and it means the club is a breakfast room, a lunch room and a nightclub in the same building on the same day. The weekend is the shorter end: Saturday and Sunday both start four hours later.

Why you cannot find the dress code

There is a reason every search for the Annabel’s dress code comes back with other people’s guesses.

The dress code is not published on annabels.co.uk. Nor are the club rules, nor the access information. All three are PDFs hosted on an external Adobe Acrobat cloud link, opened from a button labelled View Here.

So search engines do not index them, aggregators cannot quote them, and the only way to read the actual rules is to go to the club’s Useful Information page and open each document in turn. There are exactly three: The Dress Code, Club Rules in Brief, and Access.

We are not going to paraphrase a dress code we cannot quote from a page. The point worth taking away is that the authoritative version exists, it is short, and it is one click from their own site rather than anywhere else.

It is a private members’ club, and that is the answer

The thing most people actually want to know. Annabel’s is a private members’ club. You cannot book a table as a member of the public.

The site has four pages: Apply for Membership, Annabel’s New York, Useful Information, and Contact Us. There is no reservations page, because there is nothing to reserve unless you are a member or a member’s guest.

Membership applications go through a Birley Clubs portal rather than through Annabel’s own site, which tells you that membership is administered across the group rather than by the club.

A Birley club, at 46 Berkeley Square

The company behind it is registered as 46 Berkeley Square Ltd, trading as Annabel’s, which gives you the address: 46 Berkeley Square, Mayfair, London W1. Green Park and Bond Street are the nearest stations.

It is described as a Birley Club, part of the group that carries the Birley name, and its own description leans on service, cuisine and entertainment rather than on exclusivity.

There is also Annabel’s New York, on its own site, so membership questions may be worth asking in the context of both.

The club is associated with The Caring Family Foundation, which is the charitable side of the group.

What the hours actually tell you

Worth drawing out, because the timetable is more informative than anything else published.

A 7.30am weekday opening means breakfast is a real service here, not an afterthought. Few London clubs open that early and none of the famous nightclubs do.

The 3am licence runs Wednesday to Saturday only. A Monday or Tuesday night ends at 1am and a Sunday at midnight, so the late nights are concentrated in four days.

The weekend starts late. Nothing happens before 11.30am on a Saturday or Sunday, which is four hours later than a weekday.

How to plan it

You need to be a member or a member’s guest. There is no public booking route.

Reading the dress code: open the PDF from the Useful Information page, because it is not published as a web page anywhere.

Applying: through the Birley Clubs membership portal, not through the Annabel’s site itself.

A late night: Wednesday to Saturday, when it runs to 3am.

Breakfast: any weekday from 7.30am.

Weekend mornings: it is shut until 11.30am.

Mayfair restaurants cover what you can actually book nearby, and Claridge’s is five minutes away.

The cocktail bars cover the public alternatives, and the clubs page covers late nights without a membership.

Questions we get asked

Can the public go to Annabel's?

No. Annabel's is a private members' club, open to members and their guests only. Its website has no reservations page, and membership applications are handled through a Birley Clubs portal rather than through the club's own site.

What is the Annabel's dress code?

The club publishes it, but not as a web page. The dress code, the club rules in brief, and the access information are all PDFs hosted on an external Adobe Acrobat link, reached from a View Here button on the Useful Information page. That is why search engines never surface the actual text.

What are Annabel's opening hours?

Monday and Tuesday 7.30am to 1am, Wednesday to Friday 7.30am to 3am, Saturday 11.30am to 3am and Sunday 11.30am to midnight. The 3am licence therefore runs Wednesday to Saturday only, and the weekend opens four hours later than a weekday.

Does Annabel's serve breakfast?

It opens at 7.30am Monday to Friday, which is earlier than any comparable Mayfair club or nightclub, so breakfast is a genuine service rather than an afterthought. At weekends nothing starts before 11.30am.

Where is Annabel's?

46 Berkeley Square in Mayfair, London W1. The operating company is registered as 46 Berkeley Square Ltd trading as Annabel's. Green Park and Bond Street are the nearest Underground stations.

How do you join Annabel's?

Through the Birley Clubs membership portal, linked from the club's own site as Apply for Membership. Membership is administered across the Birley group rather than by the club directly, and there is also a sister club, Annabel's New York.
