Boxpark Shoreditch still calls itself “Eat, Drink, Shop, Play”. Three of those four are accurate.
The world’s first pop-up mall opened here in shipping containers on Bethnal Green Road, and the shopping was the point. Checked on 6 October 2026, the venue’s own page lists twenty food and drink traders and a week of events, and no shops at all.
The traders currently listed: Acai Berry, Beast & Field, Black Bear Burger, Dub Pan, Fuko, Giuseppe’s Tiramisu, Greekos Gyros, Jujuhome Cha, Love Churros, Macchiato, Pasta Evangelists, Pizza Social Club, Satay Street, Sicilian Pride, Sonny’s, Sushi Pops, The After School Cookie Club and The Taco House.
So if you are going for the shops, check first. If you are going to eat and stay out, this is now one of the densest programmes in east London.
It runs to a quarter to midnight
The opposite of Coal Drops Yard, which opens at 11am and shuts its shops at 7pm.
From the current listings, the pattern of a Boxpark week:
Thursday: Thirsty Thursdays, 5pm to 11pm, free entry.
Friday: Friday Feelings, 7pm to 11.45pm, free entry, with club nights alongside it from 6pm.
Saturday: bottomless brunch from 1pm, then Saturday Sessions 4pm to 11.45pm and day-into-night parties from 5pm.
Sunday: day parties, 5pm to 10.30pm.
Monday: the weekly Big Fat Quizbox, 7pm to 9pm.
Two things worth taking from that. Much of the programme is free to enter, including Thirsty Thursdays and Friday Feelings, with ticketed events sitting alongside. And the late nights are Friday and Saturday, both to 11.45pm.
The programme is broader than a bar’s
Not all of it is drinking, which is the surprise.
Currently listed alongside the DJ nights:
Deposits Community Run Club, a weekly free run club, Wednesdays 6pm to 8pm.
A live podcast recording, Convo with Cream, Thursday 5pm to 10pm.
A jewellery making workshop at Stööki Jewellery in Unit 11, Sunday midday to 5pm, a hands-on wax carving session.
A quarterly local resident and community engagement meeting, open to residents and community members, by RSVP.
A free run club and a residents’ meeting are not what the venue is known for, and both are on the same calendar as the bottomless brunches.
Oktoberfest is on
Checked on 6 October 2026: the Oktoberfest Bottomless Brunch runs on Saturdays, 2pm to 6pm, alongside a Throw It Back R&B bottomless brunch at 1pm to 5pm.
Two bottomless brunches on the same Saturday afternoon, one of them themed, is the clearest signal of what the venue is for now.
An honest flag on the hours
Checked on 6 October 2026, Boxpark does not publish general opening hours for the Shoreditch venue on its own site in a readable form. The contact and FAQ page returns no visible content, and the venue page gives an events calendar rather than a daily schedule.
What you can rely on is the event times above, which are published per event with start and finish times. For a daytime visit to eat, go on the traders rather than the venue: check the individual trader, or ring the venue, rather than assuming a standard opening time.
Contact is shoreditch@boxpark.co.uk.
