Two of you cannot book darts on a Friday evening. Flight Club will not take the booking.
There is a minimum group size, and it rises through the week.
From 4pm Monday and Tuesday: 4 guests.
From 4pm Wednesday to Friday, and all day Saturday: 6 guests.
During December: 6 guests every day.
So the evening most couples would pick is the one they are barred from. And the useful consequence, which nothing on their site spells out: Sunday carries no minimum at all. Neither does any weekday before 4pm. A pair who want an oche to themselves in the evening should go on a Sunday.
Read it the other way and it also tells you what Flight Club is. The venue is built for groups of six, and the pricing and the room follow from that.
From £9 a head for an hour
Social Darts from £9 per person for 60 minutes, with seven multiplayer games included. Nothing is charged per game.
The Brunch Social is from £33 per person for two hours: one hour of darts, bottomless sharing pizza, and a bottle of Prosecco or four beers each. It runs every weekend at 12pm or 2.30pm, with live DJs on Saturdays.
Note the shape of that brunch. Two hours total, but only one of them is darts. The second hour is the pizza and the Prosecco.
At £9 for an hour, this is the cheapest of the London competitive socials per head, against £10 at TOCA Social and £13 to £14 a game at Puttshack.
The four London branches close at four different times
This is the real reason to read before booking, because they are not the same venue in four postcodes.
Friday and Saturday close: Bloomsbury 2am. Islington 2am. Shoreditch 1am. Victoria 1am.
Thursday close: Bloomsbury 1am. Victoria 1am. Islington 12.30am. Shoreditch 12.30am.
Sunday close: Bloomsbury midnight. Shoreditch midnight. Islington 11.30pm. Victoria 11pm.
Monday to Wednesday: all four close at midnight.
Three things fall out of that. For a late Friday, Bloomsbury and Islington give you a full extra hour over Shoreditch and Victoria. For a Sunday, Victoria is the worst choice, shutting an hour before Bloomsbury. And Shoreditch, which sounds like the late one, is the early one on Friday and Saturday.
All four open 11.30am Sunday to Friday and 11am on Saturday.
Where the four are
Bloomsbury: 55 New Oxford Street, WC1A 1BS. Tottenham Court Road and Holborn.
Islington: 56 Upper Street, N1 0NY. Angel.
Shoreditch: 2a Worship Street, EC2A 2AH. Old Street and Liverpool Street. This is the same short street as Hijingo, which is at number 90.
Victoria: 6 Sir Simon Milton Square, SW1E 5DJ. Victoria.
Over 18 to play, and from 5pm to be in the room
Two different thresholds, which is where the confusion comes from.
All players must be over 18 to play Social Darts, at any hour.
From 5pm the venue itself is over 18, under a strict Challenge 25 policy. Anyone who looks under 25 is asked for valid photo ID in its original form.
Accepted: valid passports, UK driving licences, or any card with the approved PASS logo. Explicitly not accepted: the Young Scot National Entitlement Card.
You cannot bring your own darts
A small thing that matters to exactly the people most likely to turn up with a case.
The vision system can only detect Flight Club’s own darts, so your set stays at home. There is nothing to be done about it, and a regular player arriving with their own flights will be using house darts all evening.
Twelve to an oche, and the maths of a larger group
Each oche takes up to 12 players.
More than 12 guests gets two oches side by side. More than 24 gets three. Thirty-seven or more goes to the events team.
So the awkward sizes are 13 and 25, where you are paying for a second or third area that is mostly empty. Thirteen people split over two oches is six and seven; twelve in one is tidier and cheaper.
Forty-eight hours is the number for everything
Three separate deadlines, all at the same point, which at least makes it easy to remember.
Cancellation: 48 hours notice, or no refund of the gaming fee.
Group shrinking: tell them 48 hours before and they will refund the difference. Extra guests arriving on the day can be paid for in venue.
Pre-ordering food and drink: up to 48 hours before, through a Manage Your Order link emailed after booking and shareable with the group. Packages cannot be ordered on the day at all.
That last one is the one people miss. If you want a package, 48 hours is a hard wall, not a recommendation. Drinks are then chilled and waiting, and food comes during the first half of the booking.
Arrive fifteen minutes early
At least 15 minutes before your slot, so the group can be set up. The bars, done out as Victorian fairgrounds, take drinks beforehand.
Food is served 11.30am until at least 10pm daily, and the lunch offer runs weekdays until 3pm.
No outside food or drink. There is no halal or kosher menu, though the allergen tool covers what can be tailored, and vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options exist. The kitchen handles allergens and cannot guarantee against cross-contamination, which is the opposite of Puttshack and its nut-free kitchen.
The free video nobody expects
Every oche has a built-in camera. Flight Club Stories are emailed free to the lead booker by 6pm the day after your visit, with slow-motion highlights and group photos.
Two practical notes. It goes to the lead booker only, so whoever books is the person who has to share it. And by entering the venue you consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional use, which can be opted out of by speaking to the team on the day.
Birthdays, balloons and bank holidays
Balloons are allowed, but not near the board. Banners cannot be stuck to the walls. Add a note when booking and there is a treat for the birthday guest.
Open every day except 25 December.
How to plan it
Two of you, in the evening: go on a Sunday. There is no minimum group size, where weekday evenings need 4 or 6.
December booking: six people minimum, every day.
Late Friday or Saturday: Bloomsbury or Islington, which run to 2am against 1am at Shoreditch and Victoria.
Sunday night: not Victoria, which shuts at 11pm, an hour before Bloomsbury.
£9 a head for an hour, or £33 for the two hour brunch, of which one hour is darts.
Want a food package: order 48 hours ahead. They are not available on the day at all.
Keep the group to 12 if you can, because 13 triggers a second oche.
Leave your own darts at home. The scoring system only reads theirs.

Questions we get asked
Is there a minimum group size at Flight Club?
Yes, and it changes through the week. From 4pm Monday and Tuesday the minimum is 4 guests. From 4pm Wednesday to Friday and all day Saturday it is 6. Throughout December it is 6 every day. Sunday and any weekday before 4pm carry no minimum, which makes Sunday the evening for a pair.
How much is Flight Club darts?
Social Darts starts from £9 per person for 60 minutes, with seven multiplayer games included and nothing charged per game. The Brunch Social is from £33 per person for two hours, of which one hour is darts, with bottomless pizza and a bottle of Prosecco or four beers each.
Which Flight Club in London is open latest?
Bloomsbury and Islington, both to 2am on Friday and Saturday, where Shoreditch and Victoria close at 1am. On a Thursday, Bloomsbury and Victoria run to 1am while Islington and Shoreditch stop at 12.30am. On a Sunday, Bloomsbury and Shoreditch reach midnight while Victoria closes at 11pm.
Can you bring your own darts to Flight Club?
No. The venue uses a darts vision system that can only detect its own darts, so your set cannot be used. Everyone plays with house darts.
Do you need ID for Flight Club?
All players must be over 18 to play Social Darts at any hour, and from 5pm the whole venue is over 18 under a strict Challenge 25 policy. Accepted ID is a valid passport, a UK driving licence, or any card carrying the approved PASS logo, in its original form. The Young Scot National Entitlement Card is not accepted.
How many people fit on a Flight Club oche?
Up to 12 players. Groups over 12 are allocated two adjacent oches, groups over 24 get three, and groups of 37 or more go through the events team. Keeping a group at 12 avoids paying for a second area.
How late can you order food at Flight Club?
Food is served from 11.30am until at least 10pm daily, with a lunch offer on weekdays until 3pm, and you can order from the oche while playing. Pre-orders and packages must be placed up to 48 hours before the booking through the Manage Your Order link, and packages cannot be bought on the day.
What is a Flight Club Story?
A free highlights video. Every playing area has a built-in camera, and the slow-motion highlights and group photos are emailed to the lead booker by 6pm the day after the booking. It goes only to the lead booker, so whoever books has to share it.
