Puttshack London: Bank Costs a Pound More Than White City

The two London branches charge different prices and close two hours apart. Why unlimited golf beats the half price rematch, and the nut-free rule that stops your birthday cake at the door.

Puttshack is a nut-free venue. Which sounds like a footnote until you read what it means for a birthday cake.

You can only bring a cake if you have booked a Package, there is a £15 fee, and because the venue is nut free any third-party cake must be completely nut free and come with a full ingredient list confirming it.

So the thing to know is not the fee. It is that a cake from a supermarket counter, which almost never carries an ingredient list proving no nuts, will be turned away. If you want a cake, either get written ingredients from the bakery or order one of theirs in advance through the sales team.

The flip side is the useful part: a nut-free kitchen is rare in London group dining, and if someone in your group has a nut allergy this is one of the safer rooms in the city.

The two London branches charge different prices

This is the bit nobody tells you, and it is a pound a game and two pounds a day.

Puttshack Bank: adults 13 and over £14 per game, juniors 12 and under £9.50. Unlimited golf £20 adult, £16 junior, Sunday to Thursday only.

Puttshack White City: adults £13 per game, juniors £9.50. Unlimited golf £18 adult, £16 junior, Sunday to Thursday only.

Online prices carry a £1 discount per game against walking in, at both.

Work the arithmetic, because it changes what you should buy. At Bank, two games cost £28 and unlimited costs £20. At White City, two games cost £26 and unlimited costs £18. Unlimited golf pays for itself on your second round at either venue, so if there is any chance of a rematch it is the only sensible purchase Sunday to Thursday.

Note also what that does to the much-advertised half price second game. At Bank, a full game plus a half price rematch is £21. Unlimited is £20. The promotion is worse than the standard unlimited ticket on any day unlimited is available.

And the junior pricing is strange at White City: junior unlimited is £16 against adult unlimited at £18, a £2 gap, where at Bank the same gap is £4.

Bank stays open two hours later

The other branch difference, and the one that decides which you pick for an evening.

Bank: Sunday 11am to 9pm, Monday midday to 10pm, Tuesday midday to 10.30pm, Wednesday to Friday midday to 11pm, Saturday 11am to 11pm.

White City: Sunday 11am to 9pm, Monday to Wednesday midday to 9pm, Thursday and Friday midday to 10pm, Saturday 11am to 10pm.

So on a Wednesday night Bank runs to 11 and White City shuts at 9. That is a two hour difference on the same brand on the same day.

Doors open 30 minutes before the stated opening time at both, which is worth knowing if you are meeting people.

Two December dates at Bank close at five

Checked on 6 October 2026, the Bank venue’s own hours table carries two dated exceptions: 2 December 2026 and 8 December 2026, midday to 5pm.

A 5pm close in the first week of December, in the middle of party season, in the City. If you are organising a work night out, those are the two dates to avoid, and nothing else on their site flags it.

White City carries one dated row of its own, 9 September 2026, at midday to 5pm.

Nobody under 18 after seven

Clear and absolute, so plan a family visit for the afternoon.

Guests under 18 are not permitted in the venue past 7pm.

Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and Puttshack recommends ages 7 and up because the course is challenging for younger players.

Read that with the hours and the window for a family is narrow at White City: doors at midday, out by seven, which on a Monday to Wednesday is most of the venue’s day anyway.

A game is 9 holes and about half an hour

Each game is 9 holes and takes approximately 30 minutes, varying with how busy the course is and how many are playing. A round with two players typically takes 30 minutes.

The balls use their own Trackaball technology to score automatically, so there is no card to keep.

You cannot choose your course. The system allocates whichever suits your group size at that time, though the reception team will try to accommodate a request on arrival.

Arrive 10 minutes before your booking to register the group, or an hour before if you intend to eat first.

Twelve is the online ceiling

Groups of up to 12 can book mini golf online. Thirteen or more must submit an enquiry to play together.

Groups of 13 and over with a pre-booked package get a reserved space. Private courses, exclusive areas and whole-venue hire are all available by enquiry.

You can also reserve a table for food during the online booking process, and you are welcome to stay in the bar and restaurant after playing.

Cash, carers and dogs

Cash is only accepted at the Watford venue. Both London branches are card only, which is worth knowing before you split a bill.

Carers accompanying a guest who needs assistance to play get a free round, arranged by emailing documentation to Puttshack: a CredAbility Access Card with the plus one category, a middle or higher rate DLA letter for care or mobility, or receipt of Personal Independence Payment.

All venues have wheelchair access, but some holes and courses do not, so call 020 3912 9400 before booking.

Only assistance and guide dogs. No other pets.

There is no dress code, beyond being able to swing a club.

The offers worth having

Students get buy one get one free on all games Monday to Wednesday, plus 20 per cent off food and drink. That is the best standing deal of any competitive socials venue in London on those three days.

The weekday bundles, all at Bank and White City:

Taco Tuesday, Wing Wednesday and Flatbread Friday, 5pm to 9pm: golf, one dish and a drink, £24.50.

Lunch, Sip & Swing, weekdays 1pm to 3pm: golf, one flatbread and a soft drink, £19.95.

Sip, Putt & Party, weekends 11am to 5pm: golf for four plus nachos, a flatbread, corn ribs and four soft drinks, £45 for four.

That last one works out at £11.25 a head including food, which is below the £13 walk-up price of a game alone at White City.

Bank also has Trejo’s Tacos in for a ten week residency, and a Halloween brunch on Saturday 31 October 2026, 12pm to 1.30pm or 3pm to 4.30pm, £39 per person for chips and guacamole, two tacos, street corn and 90 minutes bottomless.

One honest flag

The suite and Challenge Hole hire prices on both London venue pages are printed in dollars, as $50, $75, $100 and $150. Puttshack is a British company with American sites, and the UK pages have not been converted. Confirm those figures in sterling before committing to a suite booking.

How to plan it

Playing twice: buy unlimited, Sunday to Thursday. £20 at Bank, £18 at White City, and cheaper than two games or the half price rematch.

Evening on a Monday to Wednesday: go to Bank, which runs to 10 or 11 while White City shuts at 9.

Bringing children: afternoon only. Nobody under 18 after 7pm, and 12 and under must be with an adult.

Student: go Monday to Wednesday for two for one plus 20 per cent off the food.

Booking a December work party at Bank: avoid 2 and 8 December, when it closes at 5pm.

Bringing a cake: only with a Package, £15 fee, nut free with a written ingredient list.

Group of 13 or more: enquire rather than book, because online stops at 12.

Where to go next

Crazy golf in London compares Puttshack against the other courses, and TOCA Social and Hijingo are the other big competitive socials.

Activities for adults covers the category, and free things to do covers the no-cost version.

Questions we get asked

How much is Puttshack in London?

It depends which branch. At Bank one game of 9 holes is £14 for adults 13 and over and £9.50 for juniors, with unlimited golf at £20 adult and £16 junior, Sunday to Thursday only. At White City the same game is £13 and unlimited is £18. Online prices carry a £1 discount per game at both.

Is unlimited golf worth it at Puttshack?

Yes, from the second round. At Bank two games cost £28 against £20 for unlimited, and at White City £26 against £18. It also beats the half price second game offer: at Bank that comes to £21, a pound more than unlimited. Unlimited is only available Sunday to Thursday.

What are Puttshack's opening hours in London?

Bank runs Sunday 11am to 9pm, Monday midday to 10pm, Tuesday to 10.30pm, Wednesday to Friday to 11pm and Saturday 11am to 11pm. White City is shorter: Monday to Wednesday midday to 9pm, Thursday and Friday to 10pm, Saturday 11am to 10pm. Doors open 30 minutes before each stated time. Bank also closes at 5pm on 2 and 8 December 2026.

Can children go to Puttshack?

Yes, but not in the evening. Guests under 18 are not permitted in the venue past 7pm, and children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Puttshack recommends ages 7 and up, as the course is challenging for younger players.

Can you bring a cake to Puttshack?

Only if you have booked a Package, and there is a £15 fee. Puttshack is a nut-free venue, so any third-party cake must be completely nut free and come with a full ingredient list confirming it. Otherwise you can order one of their celebration cakes in advance through the sales team, again only with a Package.

How long does a game at Puttshack take?

Each game is 9 holes and takes roughly 30 minutes, depending on how busy the course is and the size of the group. The balls score automatically using Trackaball technology, so there is no card to keep. You cannot choose your course, as the system allocates one to suit your group size.

Does Puttshack take cash?

Not in London. Cash is only accepted at the Watford venue, so both Bank and White City are card only.

How many people can book Puttshack online?

Up to 12. Groups of 13 or more must submit an enquiry to play together, and those with a pre-booked package get a reserved space. Private courses, exclusive areas and whole-venue hire are available by enquiry.
