You cannot see Back to the Future the Musical in London. The West End run has finished and the show is now a UK tour, and the tour does not come to London.
Checked on 5 October 2026: the official site offers five destinations, and London is not among them. They are the UK tour, Tokyo, Hamburg, Paris and Royal Caribbean. The London production is referred to only in the past tense, as the original West End cast.
So if you have been searching for London tickets, the honest answer is that the nearest you can get is Milton Keynes.
The closest the tour comes
Milton Keynes Theatre, Tuesday 9 February to Saturday 27 February 2027.
Milton Keynes is about fifty minutes from Euston by train, which makes it a genuine evening out from London rather than a trip away. Of the eleven cities on the tour, it is the only one you could reasonably do and be home the same night.
Southampton Mayflower Theatre, Tuesday 8 June to Saturday 3 July 2027, is the second nearest, and Cardiff’s Wales Millennium Centre, Tuesday 19 October to Saturday 13 November 2027, the third.
The whole tour, in order
Bristol Hippodrome Thursday 8 October to Saturday 21 November 2026
Edinburgh Playhouse Wednesday 2 December 2026 to Saturday 2 January 2027
Liverpool Empire Tuesday 12 January to Saturday 6 February 2027
Milton Keynes Theatre Tuesday 9 February to Saturday 27 February 2027
Birmingham Hippodrome Tuesday 9 March to Saturday 10 April 2027
Sunderland Empire Tuesday 13 April to Saturday 8 May 2027
Bradford Alhambra Theatre Tuesday 11 May to Saturday 5 June 2027
Southampton Mayflower Theatre Tuesday 8 June to Saturday 3 July 2027
Manchester Opera House Tuesday 13 July to Monday 21 August 2027
Theatre Royal Plymouth Monday 24 August to Friday 11 September 2027
Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Tuesday 19 October to Saturday 13 November 2027
Note the gap: nothing between 11 September and 19 October 2027. The site says further tour dates are to be announced, so that five week hole is the obvious slot for another city, and a London return is not formally ruled out.
Note also the Manchester booking. The show had its original run there before transferring to the West End, so the 2027 date is a homecoming rather than just another stop.
What it won
Best New Musical at the Olivier Awards 2022, the WhatsOnStage Awards 2022 and the Broadway World Awards 2022.
Directed by John Rando, with original music by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard alongside The Power of Love, Johnny B. Goode, Earth Angel and Back in Time from the film.
One honest note on the London theatre
The official site does not name the West End theatre anywhere we could find, referring only to the West End run and the original West End cast. We have not named it here rather than guess at it.
If you are trying to use an old booking or voucher, the producer is Colin Ingram Ltd and that is the right place to ask, not the theatre.
What to see in London instead
If the appeal was a big, loud, effects-driven musical on a weeknight, the closest equivalents are all running.
Wicked has the flying and the pyrotechnics, and £29.50 seats if you are online on a Wednesday morning. Hamilton has a £10 lottery with a six day entry window. Mamma Mia is the shortest at 2 hours 35 and the one that plays on a Monday.
How to plan it
From London, the only sensible date: Milton Keynes, 9 to 27 February 2027, fifty minutes from Euston.
Watching for a London return: the five week gap in autumn 2027, since further dates are still to be announced.
Tonight, in London: one of the three big musicals instead.

Where to go next
Wicked, Hamilton and Mamma Mia are the three big musicals still running, with very different cheap ticket routes.
The West End page covers what else is on, and pre-theatre dinner covers eating first.
