The Lego Store in Leicester Square keeps the strangest hours of any big shop in the West End. Monday to Saturday it runs 10am to 10pm, which is four hours later than most of Oxford Street. On Sunday it closes at 6pm after opening at noon, giving you a six hour window against the weekday’s twelve.
So the quiet time is a weekday evening after about 7pm, when the square is busy with cinema crowds but the shop has emptied of families. The worst time is Sunday afternoon, when the shortest day meets the biggest queues.
We read the store’s own page on 10 October 2026.
Where it is
3 Swiss Court, W1D 6AP, which is the pedestrian passage on the north side of Leicester Square rather than the square itself. The phone number is 020 7665 0413.
What is inside
The store lists a Pick and Build Wall, a demonstration table, Build a Minifigure, and a Minifigure Factory where you design your own. The Mosaic Maker, which turns a photograph of you into a Lego portrait, is the one people travel for. Gift cards are accepted, and the Lego Insiders rewards programme runs here with early access to some releases for members.
Events listed include Little Builder classes and private shopping evenings for Insiders members.
What the store does not publish
There is no published queue policy for the Mosaic Maker or the Minifigure Factory, and no statement of whether either takes bookings or works walk-in only. Given both have a fixed throughput and the store sits on one of the busiest squares in London, that is the thing worth ringing ahead about if it is the reason for your visit.
Opening hours can also be suspended for private events, which the store notes against individual dates rather than as a standing rule, so check the day before you travel.
