High School Musical is not in the West End. It opens on 12 October 2026 at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, 3 Fulton Road, HA9 0SP, which is a ten minute walk from Wembley Stadium station and about half an hour from the middle of town. If you are booking a hotel near Leicester Square and a show in the same breath, this is the one that does not fit.
It runs to 3 January 2027. We checked on 10 October 2026, two days before the first performance.
The price range is enormous
Listings show tickets at £27, £47, £85 and £110 depending on the date, and some dates were already marked as selling out or sold out when we looked. One other listing gives a starting price of £44 rather than £27, so the cheapest seats are either gone on the dates that listing covers or priced differently by seller. Compare at least two before you buy.
When it plays
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm. Thursday and Saturday have a 2.30pm matinee and a 7.30pm evening. There are no Sunday performances, which is worth knowing because Sunday is when a lot of families would otherwise go.
Ages
Recommended for 6 and over. Every child under 16 needs a valid ticket and must be accompanied by and seated with an adult. The published listing gives no running time, which for a family audience is the one number you most want in advance, so allow for a standard two and a half hours until the theatre says otherwise.
Who is in it
Harry Judd of McFly plays Coach Bolton, and KayCee Stroh, who was in the original film, plays Ms Darbus. Tobias Turley is Troy, Leonor Correia is Gabriella, Caitlin Tipping is Sharpay and Luke Bayer is Ryan, with Char Burnett as Taylor, Jordan Benjamin as Chad, Simeon Beckett as Zeke, Olivia O’Connor as Martha, Yna Tresvalles as Kelsi and Curtis Patrick as Jack Scott.
Getting there: Wembley Stadium is the nearest railway station, and the 206 bus serves Fulton Road. Wembley Park on the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines is the other option, and on a match or concert night the whole area changes character, so check what else is on at the stadium before you travel.
