There is no cut-off time at Hyrox. The organisers say plainly that there is no time limit to complete your race, which is the opposite of what most mass participation events do and the single most reassuring fact for anyone thinking about a first one. What will catch you out instead is the refund policy, which is unusually strict.

Amazon Hyrox London runs from 2 to 6 December 2026 at ExCeL, Royal Victoria Dock, E16 1XL. Last season’s edition there was the biggest Hyrox event ever held. We read the organiser’s event page and the UK FAQ on 10 October 2026.

You cannot move your entry

Transfers to another event are not possible, with or without the Flex Add-On, and that includes deferring to the next season. You cannot transfer your race or change division either.

The Flex Add-On is the only flexibility on offer, and it has to be bought at the same time as your athlete ticket. It cannot be added later. With it, singles, doubles and relay tickets get a 100 per cent refund up to 31 days before race day, dropping to 50 per cent up to 7 days before. The refund excludes the Flex Add-On itself and the service fees. Charity tickets are not refundable at all, and neither are spectator tickets.

What the race actually is

Eight 1km runs, each followed by one workout station: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls. Divisions are Open, Pro, Doubles, Pro Doubles, Relay and Adaptive, with Pro using heavier weights. A relay team is four people, each doing two 1km runs and two stations.

You must be 16 or over to race. Age groups in the singles divisions run from under 24 up to 85 to 89 and are set by your age on the day. Doubles use the average age of the pair, relay teams are grouped as under 40 or 40 plus on the team average, and the Pro divisions have no age groups at all.

Race day timings

Your individual start time appears on the event page’s start list about three days beforehand, and the organisers say start time changes are not permitted, so plan around the provisional schedule until then. Arrive 90 minutes before your start to register, drop your bag and warm up, and get into the start tunnel 10 minutes before.

At check-in you get a wristband, a race number and an ankle strap with a timing chip. The chip has to be on your ankle or no time is recorded. Bring the QR code on your ticket and photo ID. Singles and doubles athletes are pointed at the technical briefing videos, and every relay team must send one person to a briefing on site.

Bag drop, and what it means

Bag drop is for athletes only, not spectators, and opens 45 to 60 minutes before your race. One bag each, no larger than cabin size. You cannot go back to it mid-race, so keep your timing chip and any gels on you. There are no showers at the venue, which is worth planning for if you were hoping to go somewhere afterwards.

Watching rather than racing

Spectator tickets are sold through the event page and only in advance: you cannot buy on the day at the venue. Children under 12 go free but must be with an adult. Hyrox Youngstars, for athletes aged 8 to 15, is included in both spectator and athlete tickets with no separate ticket needed.

This edition also hosts the season’s second Elite Series races, with Elite15 and Challenger15 singles on Thursday 3 December and doubles on Friday 4 December. Watching those needs an Elite Series upgrade added to a standard spectator or athlete ticket at checkout.

One caution about the FAQ

The UK FAQ still refers to the 25/26 season when explaining that athlete wristbands only give venue access on your own race day. That rule may well carry over, but it is written for last season, so check your confirmation if you were planning to spend several days at the ExCeL on an athlete ticket.

Hyrox has also been reported as coming to Olympia in 2027, with one outlet giving late April to early May and another March, both marked as expected rather than announced. We found nothing official, so treat those dates as rumour for now.
