The Underground and Postal Office are strictly 21 and over, but the Ticket Hall admits children before 5pm. Dogs, hen and stag parties, and which one is step-free.

Cahoots isn’t one bar, and the three sites have different rules on who can walk in. The Underground in Kingly Court and the Postal Office in Borough Yards are strictly 21 and over. The Ticket Hall on Kingly Street, a few doors away, lets children over 10 in before 5pm from Sunday to Friday, and takes dogs until 6pm. Third-party listings often give one age limit for the whole brand, which is wrong for the Ticket Hall.

Everything below comes from Cahoots’ own Q and A and venue pages, read on 10 October 2026.

Which Cahoots is which

The Underground is the themed one: a replica 1940s station with two platforms, Northbound and Southbound, joined by a central passage, and a life-size carriage you can sit in. The Ticket Hall is a 1940s pub with a terrace on Kingly Street, open every day from midday. The Postal Office is the Borough Yards branch. Only the first two are in Soho, and they are on different streets, so make sure your booking is for the one you mean. Hours for each are on our Soho bars page, and Kingly Court covers the building.

Age and dogs

Under the age policy, the Underground and the Postal Office are “strictly 21 and over”. At the Ticket Hall, children over 10 are welcome before 5pm Sunday to Friday if a guardian aged 21 or older is with them. After that it’s an adult pub. Dogs aren’t allowed at the Underground or the Postal Office, apart from registered assistance dogs. At the Ticket Hall, well-behaved dogs are welcome until 6pm, Sunday to Friday.

Booking and the 2 hour table

Tables are asked to keep to two hours. The Ticket Hall’s terrace is walk-ins only, and lunch there can be booked between 12pm and 3.45pm, with last lunch orders at 4.30pm. Groups of 13 or more can’t book online for the Underground: the venue asks you to ring 020 7352 6200 or email highspirits@cahoots-london.com. Private parties take up to 100 guests in the Ticket Hall, or 50 on its outdoor terrace alone.

Who they won’t take

Cahoots says it can’t accommodate hen or stag parties at any of its venues. That’s worth knowing before you book a big group under another name. There’s no strict dress code, but the venue prefers 1940s dress and says any well-presented guest is welcome. Music is jazz, swing and Lindy Hop, with some rock and roll and electro swing later. From Thursday to Saturday evenings people tend to dance.

Access

The Underground and the Ticket Hall are both not step-free. The operator describes the Underground as full of tricky steps and narrow passages, and says the layout of the Ticket Hall makes step-free access a challenge. The Postal Office is the accessible one: its ground floor is fully accessible, with an accessible bathroom.

What’s on

The Underground runs a Black Market Knees-Up at midday on Saturdays and live music and cocktails from 7pm to 10.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays. DJ Mark Charade follows from 10.30pm to 2am, and Miss Alice Keys plays on Sundays from 9pm. At the Ticket Hall, a lunch stop deal adds a drink for £1 on weekdays from midday. A New Year’s Eve party runs at each Soho venue on Thursday 31 December, from 9pm to 3am, and the Postal Office has its own from 10.30pm.
